Kodenkan JujitsuSports Club In the event that you cannot meet during club times, Rutgers offers excellent classes at different levels: Register classes here. (Choose your affiliation, Go to the Sidebar option "Martial Arts and Sports," elect for "Danzan Ryu Jujitsu - Introduction") ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Danzan Ryu Jujitsu is an effective system of self-defense
that incorporates physical and mental training within a philosophy of ethical
and moral development. The Rutgers Kodenkan dojo has upheld this standard for
over 25 years. Practices are held year-round, even when college classes are not
in season. Additional Information can be found at the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation Website here. Every year, Rutgers hosts a weekend fall seminar, which
invites inviting various instructors of different martial arts backgrounds from
around the nation to teach. Each year the dojo sends qualifying members to
California to compete in the National Freestyle Tournament during the spring
season. The dojo has also been the attention of the public media, with various
articles written by local newspapers, been the topic of 3 RU-TV presentations,
and most recently having a full page article (with pictures) about the Fall
Rutgers seminar, which was printed in the National American Judo and Jujitsu
Federation newsletter.
